As a nanny I focused on basic skills such as color, letter, and number recognition, speech and language development, cause and effect, responsibility, using vocabulary, fostering independence, and encouraging reading. In both nannying and teaching I believe in having a strong influence of the arts and like to use songs, fingerplays, dancing, and crafts as a way to foster and connect learning in a fun way.
